After Franz Kafka, it is Marcel Proust who receives, a tribute slightly… “shifted”A series made of 16 images of 60 cm on 45 cm.
The spirit of this new “Album” remains close to the precedent:
imagining meetings and put them into scene.
Sometimes with humor and irreverence, but always with a strong respect for the creator.
Kafka, such as a flying chouca over the cliffs, planed above all times. Marcel Proust, him, will keep himself satisfied with “possible” meetings.
Possible only in the sense that they will be of the same period of time, not so incredible as Kafka’s.
Indeed, no anachronistic escapes for our little Marcel!
But we can find Proust at the table of “Club of the Discoverers” in company of Sigmund Freud, Marcel Duchamp, Albert Einstein and James Joyce who had the same age as him when photographed (virtually the photographed!). We can also meet Proust with Reynaldo Hahn and Lucien Daudet coming back from the Pre-Catelan of their childhood. Proust and Nivelle. And so on...
All were his contemporaries.
But Marcel Proust, is also The Narrateur of “In Search of lost time”.
That explains the appearance of young girls wearing a veil and the appearance of a well known Madame Colette standing at the door of the “Go More”, without forgetting a visit of the Verdurin couple.
